If you don't Log-in that regularly in your account, this feature will remind you of all the top stories you might want to see so that you don't miss out anything important from your friends.
And if you Log-in regularly to your account you will find "recent stories" at top of the page.

It brings your conversations to life by displaying updates instantaneously, when an update is live on Ticker you can then join the conversation right away with your friends.

There is a grey slider bar on right corner of Ticker to adjust according to screen.

Facebook To Be Banned in Pakistan

Pakistan, to ban the American Social Network giant Facebook again due to spread of religious hatred on internet, reports Pakistan Today.

"The Lahore High Court Justice Sh Azmat Saeed on Monday ordered ministry of information and technology to block access to all websites in Pakistan especially American social networking website “Facebook”, spreading religious hatred on internet and to submit a compliance report by October 6", reports Pakistan Today.

The is order was issued after hearing the petition filed by Muhammad & Ahmad, a public interest litigation firm, for hosting competition featuring blasphemous caricatures. They filed the petition seeking for a permanent ban on access to Facebook for hosting a fresh blasphemous caricature drawing contest world over under a title "2nd Annual Draw Muhammad Day-May 20, 2011".

The main aim for ban is to protect the Islamic values and feeling of billions of Muslims.

No action will be taken against companies like Google, court clarified.

The lifting of ban has not been specified by the court. So we can't say for how long the people of Pakistan won't be able to access one of the most popular social networking website "Facebook".
